BEIRUT, Oct. 27 -- On October 24, 2025, local time, the 23rd Chinese Peacekeeping Level One Plus Hospital to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) successfully passed the fourth-quarter equipment inspection organized by the UNIFIL.
Through such methods as debriefing, on-site inspection, and practical equipment operations, the inspectors from several departments of the UNIFIL, including medical service, transportation, engineering, communication, and firefighting, thoroughly inspected the medical equipment, vehicles and machinery, communication devices, barrack facilities, and other items of the Chinese contingent. With all the equipment and materials meeting the standards stipulated by the UN, the Chinese medical contingent was highly recognized by the inspection team.
Since its deployment, the Chinese medical contingent has provided medical treatment to over 4,690 patients, performed 22 surgeries, conducted 30 free clinic and medical outreach activities, and completed multi-national joint exercises, fully demonstrating the capabilities and sense of responsibility of the Chinese peacekeepers.
