BEIJING, Nov. 14 -- "A Chinese PLA naval task group comprising of PLANS landing ship Changbaishan (Hull 989), training ship Zhenghe (Hull 81) and supply ship Xiangqianjin1 (Hull 88), will set sail for ocean-going training in mid-November," said Senior Colonel Jiang Bin, spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense, at a regular press briefing on Friday.

According to the spokesperson, midshipmen and faculty members from the Chinese PLA naval academies including over 10 international students will participate in the training. The task group will visit Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia and have exchanges with navies of these countries to strengthen mutual learning and deepen substantive cooperation.
