BEIJING, Dec. 5  --  "The Chinese naval task group's far-sea training complies with international law and practice, and does not target any specific country or entity," said Senior Colonel Jiang Bin, spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense (MND), at a press briefing on Friday.

The spokesperson made the above remarks when answering a media query regarding the statement made by the Australian Department of Defence. The statement claimed that they monitored a Chinese naval flotilla possibly sailing towards Australia.
