BEIJING, Jan. 20 -- "On January 20, a Philippine government aircraft illegally intruded into the territorial airspace over China's Huangyan Dao without the approval of Chinese government. The navy and air force troops dispatched by the Chinese PLA Southern Theater Command warned and expelled it in accordance with law and regulations," said Air Force Senior Colonel Tian Junli, spokesperson for the PLA Southern Theater Command on Tuesday. 

 The spokesperson pointed out that the Philippine side's action has severely infringed upon China's sovereignty and gravely violated the relevant provisions of Chinese law and international law. He added that Huangyan Dao is China's inherent territory, urging the Philippine side to immediately stop infringing upon China's rights and making provocations, and to cease irresponsible hype.
