BEIRUT, Feb. 27 -- The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) Sector West held a civil-military cooperation (CIMIC) meeting at the camp of the 24th Chinese Peacekeeping Contingent to the UNIFIL on Feb. 25, 2026. Representatives from 14 units, including the UNIFIL's CIMIC unit and the CIMIC directorate of the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), discussed the livelihood support, built consensus, and enhanced collaboration. The event played a positive role in overcoming collaboration barriers among contributing nations and promoting regional peace and stability.
