Two new Type 055 guided-missile destroyers of the Chinese PLA Navy, Dongguan (Hull 109) and Anqing (Hull 110), made their official debut in official report by China Central Television. 

The two newly commissioned vessels are assigned to the Chinese PLA Eastern Theater Command.

The number of China's Type 055 10,000-ton-class destroyers has increased from eight to 10: Nanchang (Hull 101), Lhasa (Hull 102), Anshan (Hull 103), Wuxi (Hull 104), Dalian (Hull 105), Yan'an (Hull 106), Zunyi (Hull 107), Xianyang (Hull 108), Dongguan (Hull 109) and Anqing (Hull 110).
