WAU, South Sudan, April 10 -- The 16th Chinese Peacekeeping Horizontal Engineering Company to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) has recently completed high-standard infrastructure construction tasks at Wau Airport, including the construction of a generator platform, blast-resistant perimeter walls, and firebreak zones, effectively enhancing the airport’s capacity of operational support.
Upon receiving the mission, the contingent promptly conducted site surveys, assessing terrain conditions, climatic impacts, and security risks, and systematically advanced construction work in an orderly manner.
