WAU, South Sudan, April 29 -- The 16th Chinese Peacekeeping Horizontal Engineering Company and Level-II Hospital to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) passed the UN second-quarter equipment inspection with high standards.
The inspection team from UNMISS was composed of personnel drawn from logistics, engineering, medical, ammunition, supply, and fire safety departments. They conducted inspections on 16 categories of major equipment and 11 categories of self-sustainment equipment, including engineering machinery, weapons and equipment, specialized equipment, medical facilities, and camp infrastructure. Following the detailed inspection, all equipment was confirmed to be stable in performance, well-maintained, and fully compliant with UN standards.
Next, all Chinese peacekeepers will continue to enhance their equipment maintenance and support capabilities, and carry out engineering support, medical services, and humanitarian assistance tasks with higher standards and more rigorous discipline.
