GUANGZHOU, June 1 -- The Chinese PLA Navy's hospital ship, Silk Road Ark, set sail from a naval port in Zhanjiang City, south China's Guangdong Province, on May 31, 2026 for a medical service mission to the islands and reefs in the South China Sea and the coastal areas of South China.

The hospital ship will offer medical consultations, physical examinations, traditional Chinese medicine physiotherapy, surgery, and health education to the troops and their families stationed on the islands.
