WAU, South Sudan, June 12 -- The 16th Chinese Peacekeeping Horizontal Engineering Company to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) recently completed the leveling and rehabilitation of the main urban arterial road in Wau. The road had been severely damaged, seriously affecting the daily travel of local residents and the transportation of supplies.

During construction, Chinese peacekeepers implemented tailored measures and precise operations targeting different road conditions. The rehabilitation project has significantly improved traffic conditions within the urban area of Wau. Moving forward, the Chinese contingent will continue to support the local livelihood development.
