BEIJING, June 15 --The 3rd Chinese Peacekeeping Quick Reaction Force to the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) recently organized a camp fire drill.

Upon hearing the fire alarm, the quick reaction force immediately activated its emergency fire response plan. The observation crew used unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to survey the fire scene, quickly identifying the fire source and its spread direction. The firefighting crew split into two teams. One team used fire extinguishers to suppress the main fire points, while the other team operated portable equipment to curb the spread of the blaze. Meanwhile, the medical crew quickly performed emergency bandaging and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the simulated casualty, and transferred them to the medical area on stretchers. The entire process demonstrated the troops' professional skills.

"The mission area is extremely hot, leading to an increase in electricity consumption and a corresponding rise in fire hazards. This drill has enhanced our fire safety awareness and improved our emergency response capability," said the unit's commander.
