WAU, South Sudan, July 24 -- The 16th Chinese Peacekeeping Horizontal Engineering Company to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) recently completed the leveling and repair tasks for the taxiways and service lanes of Wau Airport, helping to ensure the safety of aircraft take-offs and landings as well as vehicle traffic.
Upon receiving the mission, the contingent cleared and patched the road surface, filled and stabilized gullies, and leveled and compacted the airport ground, effectively eliminating safety risks such as standing water and road subsidence.
