MUARA PORT, Brunei, July 24 -- On the morning of July 24, the Chinese PLA Navy's task group, comprising the training ship Qijiguang (Hull 83) and the amphibious dock landing ship Kunlunshan (Hull 998), arrived at Muara Port, Brunei, for a four-day goodwill visit.

Following a welcoming ceremony, the Qijiguang (Hull 83) and the Kunlunshan (Hull 998) organized ship-open events, allowing guests attending the welcoming ceremony to tour the vessels.

This visit coincides with the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brunei.

During the visit, the task group commander will call on First Admiral Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy. The Chinese naval sailors will visit places such as the Brunei Naval Training Center, the military museum, and the Defense Academy for exchanges. They will also hold activities with Bruneian naval officers and soldiers, including mutual ship visits, deck receptions, and friendly sports matches, and participate in local public welfare performances and consolation visits.
