WAU, South Sudan, Aug. 6 -- Members of the 16th Chinese Peacekeeping Horizontal Engineering Company to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) recently visited the local Amy Robin Primary School to carry out humanitarian assistance activity.

The Chinese peacekeepers distributed school supplies, cultural and sports equipment, and other materials to the students, helping alleviate the school's shortage of teaching resources. Meanwhile, Chinese military doctors provided free medical services, dressing wounds for the injured students, while providing basic health education on mosquito protection, wound care, and personal hygiene.

Since their deployment to the mission area, the Chinese peacekeepers have completed various engineering tasks and paid close attention to the livelihood needs of surrounding communities, actively building a bridge of friendship and communication between Chinese service members and the local residents through humanitarian assistance activities.
