JUBA, Aug. 20 -- The 12th Chinese Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) recently passed the UN third-quarter Contingent-Owned Equipment (COE) inspection with high marks, with all equipment and supplies meeting the prescribed standards and receiving high praise from the inspection team.
The inspection team, comprising 12 inspectors from seven sections of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) responsible for areas including ammunition, transport, communications, medical services and so on, conducted comprehensive inspection and assessment of various categories of equipment and supplies, including weapons and ammunition, communication equipment, medical equipment, and camp facilities. The Chinese peacekeepers gave detailed briefings on the technical and tactical performance of the equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
