WUHAN, Aug. 24 -- The closing ceremony of the Swift Eagle-2026 joint training between Chinese and Belarusian airborne troops was held on August 24, 2026, at a training center of the Chinese PLA Air Force.

The joint training began on August 12 and was conducted in three phases: basic training, coordinated training, and comprehensive exercises. Focusing on "joint counter-terrorism operations in urban terrain", the airborne troops from both sides conducted training on subjects including surveillance and counter surveillance, seizure-and-control and protection, and elimination and defense.

During the joint training, the two sides also held thematic seminars, sports competitions, and cultural exchange activities.

This marked the fourth "Swift Eagle" joint training exercise between China and Belarus. The "Swift Eagle" series has become an important platform for joint counter-terrorism operations between the two militaries and is of great significance for deepening practical cooperation and jointly safeguarding regional peace and stability.
