ABYEI, Aug. 31 -- The 3rd Chinese Peacekeeping Quick Reaction Force (QRF) to the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) recently passed the UN third-quarter contingent-owned equipment (COE) inspection with high marks. All the unit's equipment, supplies, and infrastructure met the standards and requirements for UN peacekeeping missions, earning high praise from UNISFA inspection officials.

A joint inspection team comprising personnel from multiple UNISFA departments inspected 16 categories of major equipment, including vehicles, weapons and ammunition, medical facilities, communications equipment, camp living facilities, specialized equipment, and individual gear, as well as 11 categories of self-sustainment supplies of the peacekeeping quick reaction force.

Since its deployment to the mission area, the Chinese Peacekeeping Quick Reaction Force has established regular equipment inspection and full-lifecycle management mechanisms tailored to the high temperature and dusty environment in the Abyei region, ensuring that all equipment remains in good condition at all times.

Following a meticulous inspection, the inspectors unanimously concluded that the equipment of the Chinese peacekeeping quick reaction force was in good condition and fully met UN standards.
