BEIJING, Sept. 11 -- The China Coast Guard (CCG) successfully hosted the High-Level Meeting of the 22nd Heads of Asian Coast Guard Agencies Meeting (HACGAM) in Hangzhou City, east China's Zhejiang Province, from September 7 to 10, 2026.

A total of 124 representatives attended the meeting, including delegates from maritime law enforcement agencies of 23 countries and regions — such as the Republic of Korea, Singapore, and Vietnam — as well as two international organizations: the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Regional Cooperation Agreement on Combating Piracy and Armed Robbery against Ships in Asia - Information Sharing Centre (ReCAAPISC).

During the meeting, the participants conducted in-depth and pragmatic discussions on such key topics as the regional maritime security situation, prevention and combating of transnational maritime crime, maritime search and rescue cooperation, marine environmental protection, law enforcement information-sharing mechanisms, and law enforcement capacity building. The parties reached preliminary consensus on the cooperation plan for the next phase and issued the Joint Statement of the 22nd Heads of Asian Coast Guard Agencies Meeting.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the China Coast Guard handed over the meeting flag to the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency, the host of the next meeting.
