BEIJING, Sept. 24 -- The second stage of the "Versatility Cup" Amphibious Elite Challenge Tournament, held by the Marine Corps of the Chinese PLA Navy, concluded in an area of southern Fujian Province on September 23, 2026.

The second stage lasted three days, with more than 1,000 Marines competing in multiple events across major combat-oriented categories such as "Armored Assault"and "Sharpshooter."

The "Armored Assault"event was divided into three sub-events: "Amphibious Assault,""Ironclad Assault"and "Mengshi Assault,"comprehensively testing the troops' overall combat capabilities in squad-level battlefield maneuver and coordinated assault.

The events ranged from squad coordination to individual limits, and from maritime obstacle crossing to precision sniping, directly linking the competition ground to the real battlefield. Competitors had to complete various tasks under combined conditions of physical exertion, psychological pressure, and environmental interference.

The tournament tested the participants' training standards under complex battlefield conditions, further honing the troops' combat capabilities.
