CONAKRY, Oct. 8 -- The Chinese PLA Navy's hospital ship Auspicious Ark (Hull 868) has been conducting a series of activities, including medical services and cultural exchanges, during its visit to Guinea, providing medical treatment to more than 4,000 patients.

On October 6, 2026, Guinean Prime Minister Amadou Oury Bah visited the hospital ship, writing in the guestbook to express his gratitude and best wishes to the Chinese PLA Navy's hospital ship.

The hospital ship Auspicious Ark, carrying out Mission Harmony-2026, arrived in Conakry, the capital of Guinea, on October 3, 2026, to begin a seven-day friendly visit and provide medical services, marking the first visit by the Chinese PLA Navy's hospital ship to Guinea.

China and Guinea established diplomatic relations on October 4, 1959. Guinea was the first country in sub-Saharan Africa to establish diplomatic ties with China.
