ABIDJAN, Côte d'Ivoire , Oct. 15 -- The Chinese naval hospital ship Auspicious Ark, which is carrying out Mission Harmony 2026, arrived at Port of Abidjan in Côte d'Ivoire on October 14, for a seven day goodwill visit. This marks the first visit by a Chinese naval hospital ship to Côte d'Ivoire.

During the visit, the mission commander will hold discussions and exchanges with senior Ivorian military and political officials. Leveraging its main platform, the hospital ship will provide medical services to the local patients. It will also dispatch a medical exchange team and a mobile medical team to carry out medical exchanges and outreach consultations at Abidjan Military Hospital and Félix Houphouët Boigny University. In addition, a deck reception will be hosted to strengthen friendship and mutual trust between the two sides.
