China's V-Day parade to highlight peace, pledge to defend international fairness, justice

According to a press conference on the preparations for the V-Day military parade held by the Chinese military on August 20, China is scheduled to hold the Victory Day military parade at Tian'anmen Square in Beijing on Sept. 3, 2025, to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

A total of 45 troop formations and echelons will be involved in the grand military parade, which will last for approximately 70 minutes.

During the parade march-past, the airborne flag-guarding echelons, foot formations, battle flag formations, armament formations and aerial echelons will pass through or fly over Tian'anmen Square in order.

Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), will review the troop formations along the Chang'an Avenue during the upcoming military parade.
