BEIJING, Aug. 20 -- "A number of Chinese military's advanced weapons are set to be unveiled at the coming V-Day parade on Sept. 3, 2025, representing the latest achievement in China's armed forces' modernization efforts," according to Major General Wu, deputy director of the Military Parade Leading Group Office and deputy director general of the Operation Bureau in the Joint Staff Department under China's Central Military Commission, at a press conference on Wednesday.
The majority of the hardware on show will be new-type fourth-generation armaments, ranging from main battle tanks, carrier-based aircraft to fighter jets. Unmanned platforms, counter-drone equipment, cyberspace operations apparatus, combat drones, directed-energy weapons and electronic jamming instruments will also be highlighted.
Part of China's land-, sea-, and air-based strategic heavyweights and hypersonic precision-strike weapons will be displayed for the first time, according to Major General Wu.
