Chinese troops depart for Nepal to participate in Sagarmatha Friendship 2025 joint army training

BEIJING, Sept. 5 -- The Chinese and Nepalese armies are about to conduct the "Sagarmatha Friendship 2025" joint army training at a comprehensive training base in Kathmandu, Nepal, in early September. The Chinese participating troops recently held a departure ceremony at a unit of the Chinese PLA Xizang Military Command.

Themed on joint counter-terrorism operations, this joint army training will be organized in the form of mixed teams with participating troops teaching and learning from each other. During the joint training, participating troops will carry out comprehensive drills on joint counter-terrorism operations and conduct disaster relief and rescue, peacekeeping operations and so on. Before departure, Chinese participatingtroopsreceived targeted training. During the joint training, the two sides will also engage in sports competitions and cultural exchange activities.
