KJ-600 carrier-based early warning aircraft and J-15T carrier-based fighter jets flew over the Tian'anmen Square during China's Victory Day military parade on Sept. 3, 2025, demonstrating Chinese PLA's capabilities in the integrated joint operations.
KJ-600, a fixed-wing carrier-based early warning aircraft, is hailed as a "mobile airborne command post at sea".
Utilizing onboard radar and electro-optical systems to search for and track airborne and maritime targets, it provides critical intelligence on enemy situations and directs the carrier-based aircraft in air defense and anti-ship warfare.
The J-15T heavy carrier-based fighter is capable of delivering precise strike against surface vessels with YJ-12 anti-ship missiles, while also carrying AKF-98A cruise missiles for deep-strike missions against high-value rear-area targets. This multi-role capability establishes it as a pivotal strike platform for seizing regional air and sea control.
The demonstration of the KJ-600 alongside the J-15T highlights a qualitative leap in the Chinese PLA Navy's far-sea combat capabilities.
