BEIJING, Oct. 27 -- On the morning of October 22, China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) jointly held a solemn groundbreaking ceremony in Sinpyong County, North Hwanghae Province, the DPRK, for the renovation project of the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) martyrs' cemetery in Sinpyong.
The CPV martyrs' cemetery in Sinpyong serves as the burial site for 343 martyrs, and the renovation project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
Starting from October this year, six CPV martyrs' cemeteries in the DPRK will undergo successive renovations, including those in Sinpyong, Wonsan, Chonnae, Munchon, Sepo, and Hyongjesan.
