SINGAPORE, Oct. 28 -- The Chinese PLA Navy's 83rd taskforce, consisting of training ship Qi Jiguang (Hull 83) and comprehensive landing ship Yimengshan (Hull 988), arrived at Singapore's Changi Naval Base on Tuesday morning for a four-day goodwill visit.
Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Cao Zhongming, embassy officials and staff, representatives of local Chinese students, and representatives of the Singapore Navy, held a welcome ceremony at the pier to welcome the arrival of the Chinese naval taskforce.
During the four-day visit, the Chinese sailors will visit the Singapore Navy's military facilities and the Singapore Navy Museum. The navies of China and Singapore will conduct practical military exchanges and visit each other's ships. During the port call, the ship Qi Jiguang will also host a deck reception.
