The value of geniuses lies not merely in the laurels they bear, but in the contributions they make to their nation. Qian Xuesen was a man of extraordinary talent and a pure heart, always taking it as his responsibility to serve the country. He devoted his entire life to China's national defense cause, making indelible contributions to China's national defense strategy and aerospace industry.
October 31, 2025, marks the 16th anniversary of the death of Qian Xuesen, and China's Shenzhou-21 crewed spaceship is scheduled to be launched at 11:44 p.m. BJT on this very day. At a press conference held on October 30, Zhang Hongzhang, an astronaut of the Shenzhou-21 crew, said, "When I was a child, my dream was to become a scientist like Qian Xuesen, to change my destiny with knowledge and strengthen our country with science and technology." Now, his dream has come true and he is about to follow in the footsteps of his predecessors and head for the stars and the vast universe.
The best way to remember ancestors is to carry on their legacy and continue their work. Tribute to Mr. Qian and to all scientists who have strengthened China!
