Chinese Naval Taskforce Concludes Visit to Singapore

BEIJING, Nov. 3 -- The Chinese PLA Navy's 83rd taskforce, consisting of training ship Qi Jiguang (Hull 83) and comprehensive landing ship Yimengshan (Hull 988), concluded its four-day visit to Singapore and left Singapore's Changi Naval Base on November 1, 2025.

During the visit, the navies of China and Singapore conducted multi-dimensional in-depth exchange activities. Chinese sailors boarded the Landing Ship Tank (LST) RSS RESOLUTION (Hull208) of the Singapore Navy and the Singaporean sailors visited two Chinese ships. They communicated with each other on topics such as the operations of equipment and maritime training. The Chinese ship Qi Jiguang also hosted a deck reception on the evening of October 30, 2025.

After departing Singapore, the Chinese naval taskforce set off for China, and will conduct the final phase of its comprehensive far-sea training exercise during the return voyage.
