BEIJING, Nov. 7 -- The Chinese PLA Naval University of Engineering recently organized some foreign midshipmen to participate in the visit and study activities in south China's Guangdong Province and southeast China's Fujian Province. The foreign midshipmen listened to lectures on the history of the Chinese PLA at the site of the Gutian Conference. In addition, they also learned about the achievements of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) as well as traditional Chinese culture, gaining a deeper understanding of China.

"Tanzania is one of the BRI partner countries. What makes us love China is that China has always been committed to win-win cooperation with other countries, aiming to jointly build a better future," said a midshipman from Tanzania.

"If I have a chance, I will learn the traditional Chinese culture, and show my compatriots what I have seen and heard in China after returning to my homeland," said a midshipman from Barbados, after watching the Chaoshan culture exhibition.
