The "White Tiger" company of a combined-arms brigade under the Chinese PLA 78th Group Army recently participated in a live-force confrontational drill at a field training ground. The drill proceeded in a new pattern of air-ground joint operations, featuring close coordination of manned and unmanned equipment.

By combining the digitized systems of the infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) with unmanned obstacle-clearing equipment, the IFVs provided cover while robot dogs cleared paths ahead and aerial drones conducted reconnaissance.
