BEIJING, Nov. 21 -- The 4th China-ASEAN Mid-and-junior Level Officer Exchange recently kicked off at the International Studies College of China's National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) in Nanjing City, east China's Jiangsu Province. More than 30 mid-and-junior level military officers from the ASEAN member states participated in the event.
Officer from Vietnam: "I benefited greatly from attending the opening ceremony and lectures. Representatives from various countries gained a deeper understanding of China's foreign policy. As a young officer, I hope to continue to enhance China-Vietnam friendship through technological means in the future."
Officer from Laos: "China has witnessed major changes. I saw Chinese and Lao soldiers interacting and training together. I also saw that you sent an expert team to Laos, which has helped us a lot."
At the welcome reception, the Chinese military officers performed traditional classical dances and folk songs. Foreign military officers also presented cultural programs with their own national characteristics. Through this cross-border cultural exchange, both sides deepen their mutual cultural understanding and appreciation.
