BEIJING, Dec. 12 -- On December 11, a live-fire test footage of China's Type-99B main battle tank (MBT) was publicly released for the first time. The Type-99B MBT, the latest variant of China's independently developed third-generation MBT series, is an improved model based on the Type-99A MBT. It is capable of conducting rapid and sustained operations in extreme environments such as high-altitude and frigid areas.
