On December 30, the Eastern Theater Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) conducted joint drills to the east of Taiwan Island, involving amphibious assault ships, frigates and drones. The exercises tested multi-domain force projection, precision strikes, port seizure operations, and long-range joint fires missions to the south of Taiwan Island.
