During an assault operation training exercise conducted in east China's Jiangsu Province, a unit assigned to the Chinese PLA Army sent out the unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) for reconnaissance and dispatched a team consisting of infantry soldiers and unnamed assault breaching vehicles to pass through the "minefield".

During the operation, the army soldiers provided cover for the unmanned breaching vehicles, which improved the troops' breakthrough efficiency and reduced casualties.
