PHNOM PENH, Jan. 20 -- The 20th medical expert team of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) to Cambodia was awarded the Peace Knight Medal and honorary certificates by the Cambodian side at a ceremony held in Phnom Penh on January 19, 2026.

Since its deployment to Cambodia in early 2025, the 20th Chinese PLA medical expert team has been training the local medical talents through methods such as clinical skills training, thematic teaching of ward rounds, case discussions, and surgical demonstrations, contributing to the development of healthcare in Cambodia.
