An aviation regiment with the navy under the Chinese PLA Southern Theater Command conducted a round-the-clock training exercise, covering such subjects as maritime patrol, anti-submarine warfare (ASW) mission, and ultra-low altitude flight over the sea.

The training fully tested the pilots' capability in sustained combat and system-based coordinated anti-submarine operations.
