BEIJING, Jan. 30 -- With temperatures in many parts of northeast China dropping to minus 20 degrees Celsius or below, a unit of the Chinese PLA Joint Logistic Support Force (JLSF) carried out a combat-oriented fuel transportation training exercise under severe cold conditions to test the troops' emergency support capabilities.

During the training exercise, an opposing force "damaged" a fuel pipeline, causing fuel leakage and a mountain fire. The repair team immediately sealed the damaged section and successfully restored pipeline operations.

Suspended pipeline repair has long been a key and challenging task in emergency pipeline maintenance. As night fell, low temperature increased fuel viscosity and made key components of pumping equipment more prone to malfunction. Members of the repair team closely monitored instrument parameters and adjusted pump speed to ensure stable and efficient fuel delivery.

The training exercise helped the troops accumulate experience in fuel support operations in cold regions and laid a solid foundation for carrying out support missions under extreme conditions.
