The Type 075 amphibious assault ship Hainan (Hull 31) attached to a landing ship flotilla under the Chinese PLA Navy recently conducted a high-intensity and combat-oriented training exercise in the South China Sea. Focusing on such subjects as sea-air coordination and air and missile defense, the training exercise tested and enhanced the troops' coordinated combat capabilities in the far seas.
