As the Spring Festival approaches, the Military-Civilian Mutual Support Office has sent festive greetings and best wishes to the Chinese border and coastal defense troops.
On the Ngari Plateau at an altitude of over 4,600 meters, officers and soldiers of the Niyagezu Border Defense Company have received their Spring Festival gift packages.
Dou Xiaoquan, a soldier of the Niyagezu Border Defense Company of the PLA Xinjiang Military Command:
"The unexpected gifts bring warmth to us, it feels like a greeting from home."
The following day, the company set out for duty on a patrol mission to a point at over 5,600 meters above sea level. Passing through Hongliutan (tamarisk -covered shoal), the soldiers picked up tamarisk twigs, presenting as gifts from the plateau to the children who hold them dear.
Various localities have also prepared gift packs—including letters, cards, cultural and creative products, daily necessities, and local specialties—to be sent to the service members stationed on the front lines of border and coastal defense areas.
In Xuchang City, central China's Henan Province, volunteers are knitting scarves for the border defense soldiers.
"Growing up from a military family, I deeply appreciate the hardships soldiers endure. Each of our scarves takes about 10,000 stitches to complete."
We are at home, wishing for your safety!
Wish you a Happy Spring Festival!
