BEIJING, March 30 -- On March 29, 2026, the Chinese PLA Navy's hospital ship Silk Road Ark (Hull 867), which is on the Mission Harmony 2025, arrived in Fiji for a two-day technical stop. Staff members of the Chinese Embassy in Fiji welcomed the ship at the dock, and representatives of the Fijian military boarded the ship for a visit. During the stop, the Silk Road Ark will conduct replenishment and rest.

During a seven-day visit to Fiji in October last year, the Silk Road Ark treated more than 3,000 patients, carried out 426 surgeries and operations, and conducted a joint maritime search and rescue exercise with the Fijian Navy.

It is learned that after leaving Fiji, the Silk Road Ark will head to Papua New Guinea as planned.
