Featuring stealth catamaran hull and water jet propulsion, the Type 22 fast attack craft-missile (FAC-M), in naval camouflage coating, is known as the "flying shark at sea".

Light, agile, and flexible, the Type 22 boat boasts strong maneuverability, formidable firepower, and excellent assault capability. In combat, the boat can make use of the maritime environment to approach targets covertly at high speed, launching devastating strikes against  enemies through dispersed groups and multi-vessel coordination. When facing naval formations of the enemy, several Type 22 boats can attack in coordination to obtain superiority of swarm operations at sea. With the bold spirit of "bayonet charging", they forge an ironclad line of defense safeguarding China's maritime territory.
