April 23, 2026 marks the 77th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy.

To celebrate the occasion, the Chinese PLA Southern Theater Command organized navy open-day events in several cities, including Beihai City in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guangzhou City in Guangdong Province, and Danzhou City in Hainan Province.

Several naval units opened their barracks and displayed their active-duty vessels to the public. The lineup includes frigates, minesweepers and amphibious dock landing ships.

The open-day events offered the visitors an opportunity to get a better understanding of the Chinese PLA Navy's achievements.
