BEIJING, May 18 -- The 12th Chinese military medical expert team recently departed for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to begin a one-year medical aid mission.

The expert team, organized by the First Hospital Affiliated to the Chinese PLA Army Medical University (AMU), comprises military medical specialists covering multiple disciplines including orthopedics, ophthalmology, and pathogenic biology.

During the mission, the expert team will provide medical aid focusing on clinical diagnosis and treatment, personnel training, and academic exchanges, aiming to improve Ethiopia's military and civilian medical support capabilities.
