JUBA, May 27 -- The 12th Chinese Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) passed the UN second-quarter equipment inspection with high standards. All the inspected equipment fully met the standards of UN peacekeeping operations.

The inspection was organized by the UNMISS equipment inspection department. Thirteen inspectors conducted a comprehensive assessment of the Chinese battalion's vehicles andequipment, weapons and ammunition, medical facilities, environmental and firefighting conditions, and other aspects through a combination of debriefing, on-site inspection, and practicalequipment operation. The inspection team spoke highly ofthe professional operational skills and rigorous work standards of the Chinese peacekeepers.
