BEIJING, May 28 -- The Indonesian Navy's sail training ship KRI Bima Suci (945) arrived in Shanghai on May 25 for a four-day visit, during which the two navies conducted a series of exchange activities that deepened mutual understanding and friendship.

The Indonesian navy's representatives toured the Chinese corvette Tai'an (Hull 616), and the Chinese navy's representatives also boarded the Bima Suci for a tour. Sailors from both sides discussed topics including ship propulsion system maintenance and training management, and shared experiences and insights gained from conducting missions in different sea areas.

During its stay, the Bima Suci was open to the public for two consecutive days. The Indonesian Navy's military band accompanying the ship also staged a military music performance at the Bund in Shanghai.
