BEIJING, June 2 -- The Chinese PLA Navy kicked off an amphibious elite challenge tournament to hone the troops through a series of consecutive assessments including airborne parachuting and Ruck March.

During the assessments, the participants must carry weapons and equipment to complete armed parachute jump. After landing, they must quickly pack their parachutes and carry out a three-kilometer Ruck March.

In addition, the assessments also include the sections to assess the skills of packing parachutes and exiting from aircraft, aiming to test the troops' accuracy and speed in folding their parachutes, as well as their mastery of proper exit posture and in-air body control.
