HONG KONG, July 6 -- Over the past few days, a large number of excited residents from Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macao Special Administrative Region boarded the guided-missile destroyer Nanning (Hull 162) and guided-missile frigate Hengyang (Hull 568) to experience the new development achievements of the Chinese PLA Navy.

The two vessels arrived in Hong Kong on July 2, 2026, starting open ship events and cultural exchange activities to celebrate the 29th anniversary of the city's return to the motherland.
