A military rescue team, carrying life-detection devices and drones, arrived at a location approximately 2 kilometers from the mudslide-hit Gyirong Port in Xigaze, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, at around 8:30 am on Aug. 28, 2026.

Upon arrival, they immediately began clearing debris from the roads and searching for missing persons.
