The chemical defense troops assigned to an army brigade under the Chinese PLA Western Theater Command recently conducted a flamethrower live-fire training assessment.

The assessment was carried out across day and night in a simulated mountain combat environment. Flamethrower operators assessed wind speed and distance, and delivered rapid fire strikes against targets at different depression and elevation angles. The assessment effectively tested the troops' combat capabilities.
